Events Department
Town-sponsored Events in Estes Park
While many individuals
and organizations conduct events in Estes Park, the Events
Department plans and organizes six of the
Town's most popular festivals: Jazz Fest
in May, the Estes Park Wool Market in June, the
Rooftop
Rodeo in July, Auto Extravaganza in August, Elk Fest in October and in
November, the Catch the Glow Christmas Parade
and Celebration.
These festivals are held to attract visitors as well as to entertain residents and
guests who are already here. In addition, the staff at the fairgrounds hosts:

Located near Lake Estes, the centerpiece for the
Events Department's activities is The Fairgrounds at Stanley
Park.
Encompassing 42 acres, the fairgrounds facilities include 572 horse stalls
and
18,230 square feet of covered exhibition area. Construction on a new arena with
covered seating began in October 2009 and is scheduled to
open in June 2010. The new grandstand will accommodate 2,700 people,
an increase of 600 seats.
Barn W at the fairgrounds is
operated year-round. Its use is as diverse as
the wide variety of events held there each season.
The 15,386-foot building
demonstrates its versatility as it is used for vendors during
the Wool
Market, provides stalls for all of the horse shows, room for art shows, and
comes to life through dances
and other activities throughout the year.
